"Randonnée des nénuphars"
The waterlilies tour takes you across the Audomarois marsh, the only marsh which is still used and populated in France. With its 700-km long watercourses spread over 4,000 hectares, it houses about 1,700 animal and plant species and offers exceptionally wild landscapes. Along the course, you will see chain ferries, “escutes” or “bacôves”, which are flat-bottomed wooden boats, witnessing a long tradition of vegetable farming.
